Professor Almerinda Garibaldi at work

Almerinda Borges Garibaldi is from Goiânia Goiás, but she has lived in Brasília since 1979.


She has been teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) since 1989 at Centro Interescolar de Línguas de Taguatinga - CILT, a public school of foreign languages.



Along her professional experience, she has coordinated several multicultural projects, among them CILT´S Choir; II Ambassadors of Hope Exchange between CILT and Cesar Chavez School in Washington -DC, and CLUBELEM - Clube de Línguas Estrangeiras Modernas also at CILT.



In 1997 and 2001, she worked as a cultural assistant for the programs of Writing and Poetry Slam, respectively, in the World Scholar Athlete Games at the University of Rhode Island in the United States.



She has also worked as a volunteer for Partners of the Americas since 2000.



Almerinda believes in the effectiveness of on-line collaborative project based learning, for this reason, the theme of her research in the master´s program was Interaction in Collaborative Projects in an EFL Environment. She got her degree in July of 2004 at the University of Brasília.



At present, she also teaches EFL in the Language Course at FAJESU (Faculdade Jesus Maria José) College in Taguatinga, DF-Brazil.

Isabel Cristina de Araújo Teixeira is from Brasília,DF.She studied at Jesus Mária José when she was younger.
She has been working as an EFL teacher at Centro Interescolar de Línguas de Taguatinga since 1998 and has been experiencing online collaborative projects since 2001 working with iEARN projects.
She has been to The USA , Japan and Slovakia giving workshops and attending international conferences.Currently, she is a contact person for iEARN in Brazil.
